Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how 13Degrees LLC (“13Degrees,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information in the Opticents Android application and on this website.

1. Information handled by the app

Opticents lets you manually enter financial information such as income, expenses, transactions, budgets, bills, balances, card details, goals, categories, and labels. In Beta 0.3.4, that information is stored locally in the app’s private storage on your Android device.

Opticents does not require an Opticents account, does not connect to your bank, does not include advertising, and does not send your budget records to 13Degrees LLC.

2. Transfer packages and reports

You can create a password-protected .opticents package encrypted with AES-256-GCM. You control where it is stored or shared. 13Degrees LLC does not receive the package or its password and cannot recover a forgotten password.

When you print or save a PDF, Android and the print or storage service you choose may process it under their own terms. Review reports before sharing because they may contain sensitive financial information.

3. Uninstalling and device security

Uninstalling Opticents, clearing app storage, resetting a device, or losing a device may remove local records. Export a transfer package first. Protect your device, keep Android updated, and use a strong export password.

4. Website reports

If you submit a bug report or feature request, 13Degrees LLC stores the information you type into that form, along with its submission time and workflow status. Contact email is optional. Do not submit passwords, account numbers, or private financial records. Reports are private by default; an administrator may publish a report’s title, description, type, and status to the public issue tracker after review.

5. Website operations

This website does not intentionally use advertising trackers and does not require an account for public pages. Hosting providers may process limited technical information such as IP address, browser or device details, timestamps, and request logs to deliver, secure, and troubleshoot the site.

6. Retention and deletion requests

Bug reports and feature requests may be retained while useful for development, support, safety, legal compliance, or release history. To request deletion, contact us with its OPT reference and the email included in the report, if any.

7. Children’s privacy

Opticents is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children through the app.

8. Changes

We may update this policy as Opticents changes. The effective date will be revised when a new policy takes effect.
